24x2 is film festival where submissions are produced within 48 hours by teams of students and/or faculty at Portland State University. The goals are to promote teamwork, encourage creative thinking, and ramp up excitement for the new school year.

PROBLEM

Portland State University sought a pitch for a community event to bring students and staff together at the beginning of the new school year.

The proposal was meant to encourage teamwork and creative thinking while building excitement for the coming academic year.

SOLUTION

24x2 is a film festival to be hosted at 5th Ave. Cinema on campus. Teams of students and/or staff create short films from start to finish within 48 hours, followed by a premiere, voting, and an awards ceremony.

At the beginning of the 48 hour window, teams meet at a kickoff event to receive an envelope with unique details that must be included in their respective films.
